Super Comfortable Boots
I own a size US 9.5 Thirty 2 Double Lashed Boa which I've used 3 times (first two times for 4 days each & 10 days for the most recent). Each trip ended up with severe brusing on my right big toe and each time the toe nail fell off. Afterwards, I was desparate & read stories on the many reasons why people get toe bruising. I didn't know what to think & was a bit lost until I read an article by a guy who had the exact same foot size as mine. He tried on all brands of boots and of Salamon boots, he said size US 9.5 fitted him. I pulled the trigger on these boots (US 9.5) based on that article alone. With my Thirty Twos, my big & 2nd toes touch the front of the boot & are slightly curled - the store person said that was normal, but I think he was trying to get a sale. With my Salamon's, all my toes touch the front of the boot but aren't curling. It feels right. The other difference was how flexible these boots were. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. That'll be in Jan 2024 in Niseko. I have a feeling my toe nails won't be falling off in the near future.
