Description

The 2026 CAPiTA Birds of a Feather takes all the elements that make the DOA one of the most sought-after snowboards and fine-tunes them with the ideal flex patterns and sizes for women. This versatile all-terrain masterpiece not only boasts a stunning design but also delivers an unmatched riding experience with high-performance, well-balanced capabilities. Featuring a medium flex, camber-dominant profile, and a true twin shape, the Birds excels everywhere on the mountain—whether you're carving crisp morning groomers or sending it in the park. With accolades from nearly every major industry award, the Birds of a Feather is built to elevate your riding and push your progression to new heights.

Board Type: All Mountain

All Mountain snowboards are versatile boards that excel across various terrains, from groomed runs to off-piste. These boards offer solid edge control and responsiveness, making them a great option for riders who want one board to do just about everything.

Flex: 5/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)

Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding.

Ability Level: Intermediate

Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres.

Shape: Twin

A twin-shaped snowboard is symmetrical with an identical tip and tail, designed for equal performance riding forward or switch. It’s perfect for freestyle tricks, spins, and jumps, offering balance, stability, and control in both directions.

Camber Type: Resort V1 + Flat Kick Tech

CAPiTA's Resort V1 + Flat Kick profile combines the best of traditional camber, zero camber, and reverse camber, enhanced with Flat Kick Tech. This advanced design delivers the pop and response of a cambered board, paired with the predictability and effortless turn initiation of zero or reverse camber shapes.

Sidecut: Blended Radial

CAPiTA's Blended Radial sidecuts incorporate a single-radius arc through the board's midsection, paired with a custom-designed blend zone at the contact points. By adjusting the length of these blend zones and tailoring them to specific riding styles, the board's overall performance is significantly enhanced.

Width: Standard

Wide boards are for those with large boot sizes and provide extra flotation, reduced drag, and never feel clunky or cumbersome underfoot.

Inserts: 2x4 Inserts

These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments.

Board Construction

Topsheet: PLT Technology - Digital and Screen Print with Metallic Underlay

CAPiTA uses their exclusive PLT Technology which bonds the topsheet into the already pressed snowboard without having fiberglass structure to show through the topsheet. This creates a seamless connection and does not require an additional layer of lacquer to smooth out the top of the snowboard, saving on both using environmentally unfriendly materials and adding unnecessary weight to the snowboard.

CAPiTA creates their incredibly detailed and vibrant topsheet designs using a combination of digital and hand screen printing methods. Their PAM16000 Printing technology utilises 16,000 individual inkjet nozzles to produce flawless digital graphics with solventless, water-based UV ink—delivering exceptional accuracy, quality, and speed. Additionally, every CAPiTA topsheet includes a portion that is silkscreened through a hand screen printing process, adding unique texture and depth to the final design.

Laminate: Hybrid Carbon HolySheet Bi/Bi, Magic Bean Resin

This construction incorporates an ideal blend of bi-axial fiberglass above and below the core with additional carbon interwoven into the bottom layer of fiberglass. This offers optimal performance, and is laminated with structural additives to fine-tune ride characteristics creating an easy to ride board that offers high degrees of forgiveness while further reducing weight.

The Magic Bean resin system, developed over three years, is plant-based with high bio-content, zero waste, and no greenhouse emissions. It requires low production temperatures while delivering high yield, strength, and durability. Its enhanced rigidity allows for a thinner wood core, reducing weight while increasing energy return for a lighter, more responsive board.

Core: P2 Superlight Core

CAPiTA's P2 Superlight Core is lightweight while staying very versatile due to the Paulownia and Poplar wood used to create a core that has high impact durability while offering maximum pop.

Base: Quantum Drive Base - Sublimation Print

The Quantum Drive base is built for speed and durability, this sintered base holds more wax for a longer, faster ride. It’s designed to stay smooth and strong, making it a top choice for riders who want reliable performance in any condition.

Sublimation is a fine-tuned process that brings graphics to life with bold, vibrant colors. By using heat and pressure, ink is embedded into the base material rather than just sitting on top, making the designs pop. Since the base is thicker and more opaque than topsheets, this technique enhances colour depth and clarity.
