The 2026 Burton Process stands out year-after-year as a perfect stepping stone for anyone looking to progress their freestyle skills. Designed to meet the pro end demands of Burton pro rider Mark McMorris but while still being a friendly enough ride for the everyday rider, the Process is a well oiled freestyle machine that can just about do it all on the mountain. Coming in a user friendly PurePop bend and softer flexing core, you get all the response you need while not being too aggressive underfoot without losing out on the pop and precision you need in your riding. From hitting rails for the first time to quad corks at the Olympics, you can do it all on the Process.
The Process also comes in Burton's Flying V bend for a more forgiving and versatile ride.
Board Type: All Mountain
All Mountain snowboards are versatile boards that excel across various terrains, from groomed runs to off-piste. These boards offer solid edge control and responsiveness, making them a great option for riders who want one board to do just about everything.
Flex: 3.5/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)
Snowboards with a soft flex are forgiving, easy to control, and ideal for beginners or freestyle riders. They excel in playful manoeuvres, like park tricks and buttering, and provide a smooth ride on groomed trails or in powder.
Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
A beginner snowboard is softer, lighter, and more stable, making it easier to control and manoeuvre while learning basic skills like turning and stopping.
Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres.
Shape: Twin/Twin

A twin-shaped snowboard is symmetrical with an identical tip and tail, designed for equal performance riding forward or switch. It’s perfect for freestyle tricks, spins, and jumps, offering balance, stability, and control in both directions.

Twin Flex has a perfectly symmetrical design from tip to tail, delivering more balance and versatility for an effortless ride, whether you’re riding regular or switch.
Camber Type: PurePop Camber

PurePop is an evolution of traditional camber and places subtle flat zones outside your feet to amplify pop and add a more playful feeling to the camber. Early rise tip and tail get your contact points out of the snow quicker, reducing catch and enhancing float.
Width: Standard, Wide
Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes.
Wide boards are for those with large boot sizes and provide extra flotation, reduced drag, and never feel clunky or cumbersome underfoot.
Inserts: The Channel
The Burton Channel forgoes the traditional mounting system and introduces a channel for your front and rear inserts. This allows you to fine-tune your stance width and gives you more freedom in your stance location. The Channel is compatible with most major binding brands, but works best with Burton EST bindings.
Board Construction

Laminate: Triax
Triax fiberglass is layered above and below the core and creates a versatile flex and consistent response for performance across all types of snowboarding.
Core: Super Fly II 700G Core with Dualzone EGD and Squeezebox

The Super Fly II 700G Core features stronger and lighter woods targeted in specific areas, which provides more pop and strength while reducing weight.
Dualzone EGD aligns the wood grain in the core along the heel and toe edge in two unbroken zones perpendicular to the rest of the core, which gives consistent edge hold and strength.

Squeezebox consists of thicker, more powerful sections combined with thinner, more flexible sections profiled throughout the core. This enhances energy transfer and makes the board snappier and more stable.
Edge: Frostbite Edges
Edges that extend out slightly underneath your bindings for enhanced edge hold on hardpack and ice.
Base: Sintered
Sintered bases are made from a durable and highly porous base material that provides added strength and wax absorption for long lasting glide.
Additional Features:
Burton is able to maximise pop and performance by overbuilding their boards in the factory, and then using machinery to break it down for you. This allows your board to ride the same from day one, to day 100, season after season.
The tip and tail of this board taper out at the points, reducing swing weight and promoting mobility.
Super Sap is a bio-based resin that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies.

Given its mid flex, high levels of comfort and versatility in performance, all-in-all it is a dependable, no-nonsense, all mountain everything binding that not only will elevate your riding abilities to the next level, but save you money while doing so.
