Description
The Salomon Sickstick is a timeless freestyle powder board, designed with a clean aesthetic and smooth performance. Since its inception over 10 years ago, the Sickstick has stood up to the test of time and the scrutiny of countless riders, leaving them stoked and hungry for more of the Sickstick. The combination of sustainable cork and bamboo in the Sickstick make it both lively and smooth, handling speeds and rough snow while remaining poppy and playful for all mountain freestyle riding. Featuring a versatile camber profile and lightweight construction, the Sickstick delivers a lively, nimble ride that has a focus on eco-friendliness, as well as a focus on making every day on snow something special.
Rider Level: Intermediate - Advanced
Board Type: All Mountain Freeride
Shape: Tapered Twin
This board rides like a true twin but has a floatier nose and tapered tail for the performance of a powder board, with the freestyle abilities of a twin.
Flex: 8/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)
Stiff snowboards are precise, responsive, and built for advanced riders tackling high speeds, steep terrain, or icy conditions. They deliver powerful turns, excellent edge hold, and enhanced stability, especially during aggressive riding.
Camber Type: Rock Out Camber
Flat between the bindings provides stability, camber near the feet adds response, and rocker at the tip and tail enhances pressability.
Sidecut: Quadralizer Sidecut
By combining Equalizer and Quadratic sidecuts, multiple radii, long and short, are used to create a sidecut for high speed carving and edge control.
Laminate: BIAX HD Fiberglass, Popster, 30% Bio-Based Resin
BIAX HD fiberglass is used to create a light and lively board.
Popster mills the core inside of the inserts, allowing the board to flex more naturally and energy is transferred to the nose and tail more efficiently for extra pop.
This bio-based resin is made 30% of plant material, offering a high performance resin with a low environmental impact.
Core: Aspen Core
Full-length Aspen wood and high-density Birch stripes enhances insert retention to create this strong, long lasting core.
Sidewall: 66% Recycled ABS Sidewalls
A recycled ABS sidewall uses post-consumer or industrial plastic for durability and impact resistance while reducing environmental impact. It strengthens the board's edges, absorbs vibrations, and enhances stability without compromising performance.
Base: 50% Recycled Sintered Base
A high-quality sintered base material made of 50% recycled materials, offering a balanced combination of speed from a hard surface and good wax retention.
Additional Features:
- Standard Stone Finish
- Natural Wax
- All Mountain Edge Bevel
