The 2026 Ride Smokescreen is for the rider look to elevate their all-mountain skills without compromising on function. Featuring a Tapered Elliptical Progressive Sidecut for smooth turns at high speeds and Slimewalls to minimise vibrations, the Smokescreen is sure to please even the most speed deprived rider. Its Carbon Array 3 provides pop, making it perfect for those who prefer to ollie over obstacles rather than go around them.
Board Type: Freeride - Powder
Freeride snowboards are built for steeper, off-piste terrain. These boards are ideal for aggressive riding and usually for more advanced riders.
Powder snowboards are designed for deep snow. Generally these boards feature a directional shape with a tapered tail for better float and ease of riding.
Flex: Medium
Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding.
Ability Level: Intermediate - Advanced
Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres.
Advanced snowboards are stiffer and more responsive, designed for high-speed control, precision riding, and handling challenging terrain or tricks.
Shape: Tapered Directional
A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. This design improves floatation in powder and allows for smoother turns, making it ideal for freeride and backcountry riding. While it excels in one direction, the taper helps the board naturally guide you through challenging conditions.
Camber Type: Directional Standard Camber

Camber throughout the board with extended rocker zones in the tip and tail. This provides the pop and stability of camber with less catch at the contact points.
Width: Standard, Wide
Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes.
Wide boards are for those with large boot sizes and provide extra flotation, reduced drag, and never feel clunky or cumbersome underfoot.
Sidecut: Tapered Elliptical Progressive Sidecut
This sidecut features tight elliptical curvature at the tip and tail for quick low-speed initiation and responsiveness, with a larger radial section between the feet for enhanced high-speed stability and tracking.
Inserts: 2x4 Inserts
These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk.
Board Construction
Topsheet: Topless Topsheet
Topless Construction eliminates the need for a topsheet by transferring graphics directly to the fiberglass. This process enhances durability, reduces weight, and minimises raw material usage.
Laminate: Hybrid Glass, Carbon Array 3, Double Impact Plates
Triaxial fiberglass on top and biaxial on the base, providing balanced torsional flex and stiffness for improved response at high speeds.
This power distribution technology ensures complete board control at every stance position. Three carbon stringers, strategically placed in the binding zone, collect input from any stance width and pressure angles. Rider input is efficiently directed to the opposite contact point for optimal board control.
Two layer urethane weaves placed beneath each binding area enhance compressive strength, preventing board breaks where it’s needed most.

Core: Performance Light Core
A blend of high-strength Aspen and Bamboo wood creates the ideal balance of strength.
Sidewall: Slimewalls, Roll-In Construction
Flexible and impact-absorbing, Slimewalls work like skateboard wheels, softening interactions with snow, wood, or metal surfaces. Virtually indestructible, they’re the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.
A distinctive 3D structure surrounds our urethane Slimewall sidewalls, designed to enhance overall board strength, prevent topsheet chipping, and reduce weight.
Base: Sintered, Stone Ground Base
This base is created by heating and compressing small polyethylene particles, forming a porous structure that absorbs wax efficiently. As a result, the board glides smoothly and quickly on snow. Sintered bases are known for their toughness, durability, and speed. RIDE uses a premium 4000 PTEX material for its sintered bases.
Edges: Standard Steel Edge
A strong, standard metal edge material.
Additional Features:
-
Thin Con - All Ride boards are designed with Thin Construction, featuring tapered tips and tails. This design reduces swing weight, improves tip flex, and boosts overall durability.
