Giving a balanced blend of float, control, and confidence-inspiring stability, the Alternator split can handle anything from deep turns to sketchy exits, it’s designed to make every descent count.
Board Type: Powder Splitboard
Powder snowboards are designed for deep snow. Generally these boards feature a directional shape with a tapered tail for better float and ease of riding.
Flex: 8/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)
Stiff snowboards are precise, responsive, and built for advanced riders tackling high speeds, steep terrain, or icy conditions. They deliver powerful turns, excellent edge hold, and enhanced stability, especially during aggressive riding.
Ability Level: Advanced
Advanced snowboards are stiffer and more responsive, designed for high-speed control, precision riding, and handling challenging terrain or tricks.
Shape: Directional
A directional snowboard has a shape designed for riding primarily in one direction, with a longer nose and a shorter, more compact tail. This design provides better control, stability, and float in powder, making it ideal for freeride and all-mountain riding. It offers optimal performance when riding forward, with a focus on carving and downhill runs.
Camber Type: True Camber
The original camber type, unmatched for strong snap and powerful response. Each True Camber board in the Nitro range has it's own special tweak to suit its intended terrain type, keeping the camber shape with a more specialised ride.
Profile: SplitGrip Core Profile
The SplitGrip Core Profile features a thinner core profile between your feet to improve handling and increases torsional flex. This allows you to turn your board easier and with more precision. For better uphill performance, the center of the board is thinned towards the top to improve skin's grip on the snow.
Width: Mid-White
Mid-wide boards offer slightly increased width, reducing toe and heel drag, enhancing flotation, and boosting confidence when leaning into powerful carves.
Sidecut: Dual Degressive Sidecut
A smaller radius sidecut in the centre along with two larger ones in the tip and tail make it feel loose, playful, and the most forgiving sidecut in the Nitro range.

Tape: Carbon Tape
The V-Shape Carbon tape adds supercharged response to your board, giving more torsional strength and letting you push your board harder than ever.
Base: Sintered Speed Formula II Base
This upgraded base material provides record-breaking speeds that allow you to go further that your peers with ease.
Edges: Recycled Steel Edge
By using recycled steel you get an eco-friendly and strong edge.

Store credits, lasting up to 3 years, will be issued for the amount paid at time of purchase for the particular item being returned. They are issued via email in which you'll receive a 13 digit code that you can use at checkout online or in store.
Unfortunately stock levels vary and we are not able to stock all products in all sizes, which may result in your desired exchange product or size not being available. In the event that your desired exchange product is not in stock, a store credit will be issued.
Should you not want a credit or exchange, in extenuating circumstances Melbourne Snowboard Centre may issue a refund minus a 20% restocking fee.
