The 2021 Rome Service Dog is your best friend on a powder day. This little rascal will sniff out any deep stash and help you tear it apart, leaving no fresh snow untracked. The wide waist width on the Service Dog allows you to size down without losing float or stability, while the taper, deep sidecut, and 3D base keep you above the snow and carving up a storm. No matter what ails you, the Service Dog and a good powder day will cure it*.

Key Features

Board Type: Powder / All Mountain

Camber Type: Free The Ride Camber

This profile is designed specifically for all-mountain freeriding. Camber in the tail for power under your back foot combined with rocker in the nose for effortless float make this profile perform best when riding forwards.

Flex: 6/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)

Shape: Tapered Directional

This board has a wide nose and tapered tail to help with float in powder and forward facing performance. This taper helps to provide agility in your turns and adds float in deep snow.

Directional Diamond 3D

Diamond 3D gives the base a 3D profile, turning upwards at the contact points to increase float in deep snow, improve handling in variable terrain, provide smooth turns, reduce edge catch, and complement all-mountain riding. Directional Diamond 3D puts the 3D profile in the nose only.

Core: Stomp Core

The Stomp Core is the most stable and predictable core from Rome, made with 100% poplar wood.

Directional Single Bamboo Hotrod

Bamboo Hotrods are thin rods of bamboo milled into the boards core, giving the board a pressable and playful feeling. This configuration inlays one rod in the boards nose for liveliness and stability at speed.

Biax Glass (below core)

90 degree fibres that give the board a more mellow and torsionally playful feel.

Triax Glass (above core)

Fibreglass running in three different axes, which provides torsional rigidity and added snap.

Base: Powerslide Base

The Powerslide base is made of a new base material that features improved wax absorption and increased durability.
