Gnu Space Case 2019

The 2019 Gnu Space Case is one of the best freestyle snowboards on the market and is a staff favourite here at MSC. The Space Case ticks all the boxes for a super fun freestyle board that can help you push your creative limits in the park, and still perform all over the mountain thanks to the hybrid rocker/camber profile and asymmetrical construction, which performs on jumps, rails, in the streets, and makes carving on your toes and heels more solid and precise than ever. This is a signature board from team rider Forest Bailey, who not only rides the board but designs the graphics and plays a part in the construction as well, tailoring it to his own creative and progressive riding style. If you have any doubts about what the Space Case can do, just watch Forest ride and prepare to be inspired.

Key Features

Board Type: Park and groomers

Camber Type: C2x

Shortened rocker between your feet with lengthened camber to the tip and tail gives you power and pop on groomers and in the park along with float and freedom to charge through powder. More loaded pressure in the tip and tail than regular C2 for a more aggressive and stable ride.

Flex: 5/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)

Shape: Asym Twin

Identical tip to tail for controlled riding in regular or switch, with an asymmetric construction from toe to heel. Our bodies aren't the same front to back, so why should our boards be? Asymmetrical boards are built with a shorter sidecut on the heel edge and a different core construction from toe to heel, resulting in more precise carves on your toes, and easier and more powerful turns on your heels. This board is a level 2 on the asym scale, featuring an asymmetrical sidecut, core, and contact point location.

Core: Asym Unreal G2

Combines Aspen and Asym Paulownia woods with Triax and Biax glass for a smooth, light, and poppy ride.

Base: Sintered Knife Cut

Strong, fast and holds wax well. Glide over flat spots and wet spring snow with less drag and more speed.

Additional Features:

  • Magnetraction - 7 strategically placed serrations along the edges of the board grip onto the snow and hold a strong edge in any condition.
