Description

The 2018 Burton Trick Pony takes freestyle and puts it into freeride. Burton have taken the freestyle focused true twin shape and integrated it into a board that floats, carves, and stays powerful through groomers and powder, yet stays playful for the odd lap through the park. Early rise camber outside the feet keeps your tip and tail up out of the snow for floaty pow riding switch and regular, and carbon reinforcement through the core of the board keep it rock solid and stable when you need to power through hard landings or extra deep powder. The Trick Pony is a board for the park rat that wants to get out and experience everything the mountain has to offer.

Key Features

Camber Type: PurePop Camber

An evolution of traditional camber, PurePop places subtle flat zones outside your feet to amplify pop and add a more playful feeling to the camber. Early rise tip and tail get your contact points out of the snow quicker, reducing catch and enhancing float.

Flex: 6/10 (1 = soft, 10 = stiff)

Twin Flex - Board is constructed the same at both ends to give a smooth ride while riding regular or switch.

Shape:

Twin - Ride it forwards, backwards, or upside down, this board is constructed exactly the same tip to tail for an identical ride when going switch or regular.

Core:

FSC Certified Super fly II 700G - By using stronger and lighter wood throughout the core, this board has the pop and strength where its needed while keeping things super light.

Dualzone EGD - The wood grain of the core is position along the heel and toe edge on two unbroken zones, perpendicular to the rest of the core. This gives consistent edge hold and strength.

Triax Fibreglass with Carbon I-Beam - Triaxial fibreglass with an ultralight carbon backbone gives you a versatile ride with incredible pop and power.

Squeezebox - A thicker and more powerful core section with thinner and more flexible sections in the tip and tail. This enhances energy transfer and makes the board snappier and more stable.

Base: Sintered WFO

Standing for Wide F!#@ing Open, this base made from an extra absorbent, high density sintered material that is infused with a specially formulated wax, resulting in an ultra durable base that rides Wide F!#@ing Open.

Additional Features:

Infinite Ride - Burton overbuild some of their boards and then a machine breaks it in for you! This makes the board ride the same from day 1 till day 100.

Pro Tip - A thinner tip and tail means reduced weight and swing when in the air. helping you to send it!

Frostbite Edges - Edges that extend out slightly underneath your bindings for enhanced edge hold on hardpack and ice.
