The 2018 Burton Socialite is a soft flexing board for a hard charging girl. Equally at home in the park and playing around on groomers, the Socialite's playful flex will have you pressing and popping off everything in sight with ease, as well as staying stable when you need it thanks to the Squeezebox technology. The Socialite is one of the least punishing boards around, with Flat Top camber and Scoop tip and tail tech keeping your contact points catch-free while still allowing you to hold an edge and approach features with confidence. For 2018 the Socialite has an amazing graphic based around the Aurora Borealis and the night sky, so not only does it ride super well, it has the looks to match. Throw in the sintered base to keep you steaming along and we're sure you and the Socialite will get on like a house on fire.

Key Features

Camber Type: Flat Top

Totally flat between your feet with an early rise outside for the catch-free and easy feeling you'd expect from a rocker board, but without being as loose. Continuous edge hold, stability, and balance is what you can expect from flat camber.

Flex: 3/10 (1 = soft, 10 = stiff)

Twin Flex - Board is constructed the same at both ends to give a smooth ride while riding regular or switch.

Shape: Twin

Ride it forwards, backwards, or upside down, this board is constructed exactly the same tip to tail for an identical ride when going switch or regular.

FSC Certified Super Fly - Light and loaded with Pop, this core uses dual-species wood in dual density vertical laminations to reduce weight and stay strong.

Dualzone EGD - The wood grain of the core is position along the heel and toe edge on two unbroken zones, perpendicular to the rest of the core. This gives consistent edge hold and strength.

Off-Axis - Burtons version of asymmetrical construction, Off-Axis tweaks technologies throughout the board to match the angles of a typical park riders stance. This results in better grip, a more natural board flex, and an overall smoother ride.

Off Axis Squeezebox Low - A thicker and more powerful core section with thinner and more flexible sections in the tip and tail. This enhances energy transfer and makes the board snappier and more stable. The Low version of Squeezebox has an overall easier feel, with stiffer zones just outside your feet and a softer, smoother flex inside the bindings for more control and less effort.

Base: Sintered

Sintered bases are durable, porous, and have superior wax absorption capabilities for enhanced glide.

Additional Features:

Pro Tip - A thinner tip and tail means reduced weight and swing when in the air. helping you to send it!

Off Axis Frostbite Edges - Edges that extend out slightly underneath your bindings for enhanced edge hold on hardpack and ice.

Scoop - Expanded tip and tail that scoop up at the contact points, giving the board a looser, more catch free feeling on all snow conditions.
