The 2019 Arbor A-Frame is a fresh take on a staple in the Arbor line, with a newly redesigned shape but still keeping the highest calibre of performance the A-Frame is known for. The Camber System and stiff flex provide unparalleled stability and response for big mountain riding and hard, fast groomer carves, and the new addition of Grip Tech and Uprise Fenders make the A-Frame hold an even stronger edge without catching. The A-Frame is an incredibly strong and fast board that will power through any snow condition with confidence.
Board Type: Powder and Groomers
Camber Type: The Camber System
The Camber System from Arbor is a parabolic take on positive camber that progressively reduces the amount of camber towards the tip and tail. This ensures your contact points don't dig too hard into the snow, preventing edge catch, making it easier to turn and spin, and giving you a poppy ride with fully engaged performance.
Flex: 9/10 (1 = soft, 10 = stiff)
A stiff flex that is perfect for hard charging riders that need to get the most from their boards. Smash through chopped up snow at high speed with no effort.
This board has a directional shape that enhances float in powder and performs best going forwards.
Knucklehead Tip - A powerful and versatile shape for peak to parking lot riding with a bit of extra punch for powder.
Tapered Tail - The shape of this board tapers towards the tail helping it sink in powder, making the nose float better and keeping you on your feet.
Core: Highland Core
The top tier core from Arbor, the Highland Core is made from a blend of Poplar and Paulownia woods for incredibly lightweight performance with supreme durability.
Base: Sintered Base
A high molecular weight base that provides extra durability and speed.
Power Ply Topsheet - This creates the style Arbor is known for, but isn't just for looks. Power Ply is a sustainably sourced layer of wood or bamboo that acts like an added layer of fibreglass due to a labor intensive process that results in increased performance, finish quality, board life, and less reliance on man made materials.
Mixed Glassing - A Triax and Biax layup that provides superior versatility over standard Triax or Biax layups.
Carbon A-Frame - A carbon fibre layup from the contact points to the inserts that increases torsional stability and performance when you need it most.
Grip Tech - Grip Tech is a combination of three separate sidecut radii in the nose, tail, and centre of the board, effectively giving the board an additional two contact points. This provides extra grip and control in all conditions, and also makes turning smoother, easier, and less catchy, without losing performance.
Uprise Fenders - A brand new design for Arbor, uprise fenders pull the outside contact points up off the snow on a 3° angle for even less edge catch with predictable camber response.
